The Feeling of Gratitude

By April 2, 2018Bruce

I am floored. Honestly, words can not describe my current feeling of purpose, happiness, healthfulness, and GRATITUDE. I am also giddy with excitement. I feel like I am about to graduate from high school and the world is unfolding in front of me. WHY Bru?

My PSA is currently undetectable after 7 months of additional hormone therapy coupled with 7 months of an advanced prostate cancer chemo drug called Zytigia. My oncologist is also floored. He can’t believe that I did not suffer the debilitating side effects of this chemical cocktail that most men experience. I blew through the treatment with little or no side effects (including but not limited to: weight gain, low energy, sexual dysfunction, mood swings and even severe depression). I know it is because of my diet and lifestyle.

If you know anyone dealing with debilitating cancer treatment, please have them reach out to me. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: MY DIET IS THE MOST POWERFUL TOOL I HAVE IN MY TOOLBOX TO FIGHT MY CANCER. This tool is free and easy to implement. All I can say is that I feel spectacular. Mindy and I know my PSA will begin to rise again most likely in the near future. We will deal with it as it comes.

Right now, Mindy and I are traveling on our year-long adventure in our 32-foot “Wellness Wagon”. We are traveling across the US and Canada for the entire year leading our One Day To Wellness certifications. In addition, as part of our OneDaytoWellness.org non-profit mission, we will also be conducting free one hour lectures on evidence based nutrition along the way.  If we are coming to your town, we will be more than delighted to speak at your club, wellness center, community center, town center, or any other location for that matter.

I am flush with gratitude for all of the support we have received from our beloved fitness community. Thanks to all who continue to support our mission. Additionally, Mindy and I are absolutely blown away by the support we are receiving from some of the most respected people and organizations in the evidence based nutrition movement. I want to give a special shout out and thank you to Dr. Michael Greger and his awesome team of professionals at NutritionFacts.org. Dr. Greger has personally provided us with guidance and support of our non-profit organization, and he has even taken the time to review my new presentations for 2018 and provided much needed feedback. THANK YOU NUTRITIONFACTS.ORG!

Our trip has reminded me of Gandhi’s quote: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

I am trying to live like Gandhi wanted us all to live – Try it. It feels great.

That is such wonderful news! This is Benay Irwin and I spoke with Mindy at SCW in NYC. We discussed our cancer journeys as my husband Howard, has a sarcoma that he is taking an off label chemo drug for daily. I just watched Ty Bollinger “The Truth About Cancer” for Pets and in Episode 2 tonight Dr. Thomas Seyfried, PhD. was one of their sources. He has written a book that is pretty well known (2012) elaborating on Dr Warburg’s claim that cancer is a metabolic disease which originates from the metabolic damage of the mitochondria of our cells, contrary to the conventional belief of the cause being genetic. Although, genetic damage does occur the origin of the cancer is metabolic. It is his belief that the research and money funded is very convoluted as a result, and if the mitochondria damage was studied there would be a more simplistic path to finding a cure. Quite fascinating. He also talks about the ketogentic diet and calorie restriction to kill cancer cells. Dr. Fuhrman was also on this documentary. I was curious if you had considered this “diet approach”??
Thanks for all you do and it is exciting times to see the change in empowerment through the availability of more “truthful” data,
    Benay Irwin
